Eles dizem que o rosto é o espelho da alma. Eles dizem que imagens geradas por inteligência artificial não possuem alma, são como miragens. Neste série, quarenta e um misteriosos rostos gerados artificialmente são acompanhados pelo conto “O Espelho”, escrito por Guimarães Rosa, um dos maiores autores da literatura brasileira, e publicado no livro Primeiras Estórias em 1962. Neste conto, Rosa explora a relação entre a imagem refletida e a verdadeira essência do indivíduo, entre o exterior visível e o interior oculto. Sua narrativa nos convida a refletir sobre a alma humana, a identidade e a auto-percepção, em uma época em que a tecnologia redefine constantemente esses conceitos.

They say that the face is the mirror of the soul. They say that images generated by artificial intelligence have no soul, they are like mirages. In this series, forty-one mysterious artificially generated faces are accompanied by the short story “The Mirror”, written by Guimarães Rosa, one of the greatest authors of Brazilian literature, and published in the book Primeiras Estórias in 1962. In this short story, Rosa explores the relationship between the reflected image and the true essence of the individual, between the visible exterior and the hidden interior. His narrative invites us to reflect on the human soul, identity and self-perception at a time when technology is constantly redefining these concepts.
